Not Your Average Girl

Last night I dreamed of a wintry city
I lost my way in the snow
A woman dressed in red
Told me where to go

When I woke up I felt so peculiar
A buzzing noise in my head
Patches of snow were melting on the bed
I dressed myself in red

And I’m not quite in this world today
No I’m not your average girl today

I took a ride in an elevator
Went up a long long time
When I got out I was dizzy from the climb
There was a desk and a secretary
She pointed out at the view
There on the ledge was a man that I surely knew
But was it really you

And I’m not quite in this world today
No I’m not your average girl today

I think I’m someone else
Oh oh I think I’m someone else

I called you up from a phone on the corner
I was still feeling strange
Dropped in a coin and the phone gave me all its change
Ran to your place and banged on the front door
I was afraid you were dead
“He’s quite all right” said a woman dressed in red

And I’m not quite in this world today
No I’m not your average girl today

I think I’m someone else
Oh oh I think I’m someone else

Dream snow red
Noise climb ledge
World phone coin
Red
